ECG-SAP III: Electrocardiography Self-Assessment ProgramECG-SAP III
is the newest addition to the ACCF’s popular Electrocardiography Self-Assessment Program and is online, on CD-ROM, and in print format.ECG-SAP III includes 24 single ECG tracings, six pairs of serial tracings, seven computer overreads, 21 ECG clinical correlations, five cases about stress testing, and access to ECG-of-the-month Archives and Guidelines (with CD-ROM purchase).
This program was written in a combination of Macromedia Director and C . It utilizes an internal database of ECG tracings. Unique to this product is that it runs completely off of the CD-ROM (with the exception of score data which is stored in an .ini file in the system area). This program not only allows the medical professional to examine tracings by measuring the height and width of the changes in the ECG, it also contains a case study component where a medical professional reviews the ECG of an individualover time and is asked to determine the root cause of the anomaly in the ECGs as well as prescribing a regiment of treatment and further
testing, if necessary.
