Preferred site for insertion as vessel is superficial and accessible Disadvantages include small size of artery
which leads to decreased success rates of cannulazation
and increased vascular occulusion

Pulse palpable at just medial to styloid process of the
radius Ulnar artery on opposite side of the wrist, lateral to
pisiform bone Ulnar artery actually
larger than the radial

Arterial Line Complications
Partial or complete obstruction of flow with distal ischemia, Emboli ,Massive hemorrhage, Temporary loss of puls or Local infection
