German CPI inches down to 2.3% in May
German CPI for May came in line with expectations of 2.3%
on the year from the prior 2.4% and 0.0% on the month from 0.2%. The
EU harmonized reading advanced 2.4% annually, lower than both forecasted
and previous readings of 2.7%, while it dropped 0.2% on the monthly
basis compared with both prior and expected readings of 0.3% and 0.1%
